Robyn Swanson

In Robyn’s own words:

Working with the Sacred Heart Biography Service, I have witnessed the enormous benefit to be gained from having your life story written – for the person who is writing it, as well as for the rest of the family. Their stories have touched my heart and I have seen first-hand what a powerful and enriching experience it is to write your life story.

Robyn is an experienced biography writer who is passionate about helping people write the story of their life.

Her own journey has taken her from stockbroking to editing online news websites, to owning and running a successful paper recycling and document destruction business with her husband, Steve. She has also travelled extensively and raised two sons.

For many years, Robyn has been a keen student of the wonders of human potential, through personal development, counselling and her meditation practice. Several years ago, after selling the family business, she decided to focus on what she truly loved doing – helping people by using her writing and editing skills.

Since 2009, Robyn offered her services as a biography volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospice in Darlinghurst, Sydney. With her open-hearted and compassionate approach, Robyn has helped many people with terminal illnesses write their life stories. At the beginning of 2016, she accepted a position as Biography Coordinator, to train and mentor biography volunteers and to develop the service in new and exciting ways.

Using her experience and expertise, Robyn has created Story of My Life, a unique and special service to help people tell and write their life story.
