Are you looking for someone to write the story of your life?
Everybody has a story to tell. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done in your life, everyone has a story to tell and it is so important to tell it and have it heard and kept alive.
Are you looking for someone to write your life story? Perhaps you would like to have your mother’s or father’s story or your grandparents’ story told? With Story of My Life, all the work is done for you. All you have to do is tell your story. My name is Robyn Swanson and I am an experienced biography writer based in Sydney. I will record your stories, then transcribe and edit them, adding your chosen photographs and memorabilia.
The experience is not only enjoyable but also valuable for the person telling their story, giving them the opportunity to reflect on the life they have lived and make meaning of it.
The story of your life is a legacy that will be treasured by your family and future generations.
Such a gift is priceless, not only for those receiving it but especially for the one who tells the story.

It could be a daunting experience to entrust a stranger to record and write about personal histories and inner thoughts. In meeting and experiencing many hours with Robyn, many words come to mind: trust, competence, the ability to write well, literate, well-researched and friendly. I wish to thank Robyn for having interpreted our memories so well.

My friends and family always told me I had a story to tell. Without Robyn, that story would never have been told. When she came to record my tale, she quickly put me at ease with her warmth and curiosity to hear more of my adventures. When I read the transcripts, I was amazed at how much I had remembered under her guidance. I’ve received such positive feedback on my book from friends and family. I cannot thank Robyn enough for allowing me to give them my story.

We had a lovely time spending the hours with you, whilst you were working on Dad’s real life adventures. So glad we decided to embark on this journey and engage you to capture those special times. You are a special woman on a special mission, not just with Emery’s story, but all the other people’s tales too. Thank you again.
I acknowledge and pay my respects to the Dharawal people, the traditional owners and custodians of the land where I work and live.
